Sweetening Our Community: Donating Our Unsold Baked Goods
Share
At Blue River Bakery, we’re passionate about more than just creating delicious baked goods—we’re dedicated to making a difference in our community. That’s why we proudly donate any unsold baked goods to the Food Bank of the Rockies, helping those in need enjoy fresh, wholesome food.
Why We Donate to the Food Bank of the Rockies
We are local to Denver so whether it’s after a busy event like Denver's Oktoberfest or a typical day at our bakery, any leftover treats go straight to the Food Bank of the Rockies. We believe that no good food should go to waste, and donating it helps support families and individuals facing food insecurity in Colorado.
Recently, after each weekend at Oktoberfest, we packed up all unsold items—everything from fresh-baked breads to seasonal pastries—and delivered them to the food bank. It’s a small step that can have a big impact on those who need a helping hand.
How Blue River Bakery Supports the Community
At Blue River Bakery, we’re committed to reducing food waste and supporting local causes. By donating unsold goods, we contribute to the fight against hunger and provide nutritious meals to those who may not have access to fresh food.
Our collaboration with the Rocky Mountain Food Bank is just one way we give back. We also participate in local food drives, charity events, and other community outreach programs. Your support of Blue River Bakery makes these efforts possible—every purchase helps us contribute to this mission of kindness and community care.
Join Us in Supporting Local Families
